I only saw you live once Patty at Wembley Arena in 2004 - Farewell Tour. Your personality and beauty shone out of you like a brilliant light. You were an absolutely brilliant performer and a wonderful backing-singer to Cher who I am sure enjoyed a close and fun-filled friendship with you. Wherever you are now, I am sure you will look down on those you love with warmth, love and compassion. Everyone who saw you will miss you. To see Cher perform again without you in the back-ground or beside her will be so strange. It will be like a brilliant shining star is missing. R.I.P. to everyone who knew & loved patti, i have been a cher fan for a very long time. i didn't see patti until one night in 1989 for the 'heart of stone' tour that was playing in albany ny. from that night right through the umpteenth cher concert that i attended, never have i seen anyone with such charisma as i saw with patti. she truly looked like she loved what she was doing & the love that she put out in those concerts for not only cher & the fellow singers & band members but for the crowd that had gathered to watch a great show was very evident in every concert that i attended thereafter. may she rest in peace. i am sure she is still rockin' in heaven! sincerely, rick waterhouse
I'm so very sorry to your family and friends. I love how inviting you were ever time I had the chance to see you (9 times). You just made me feel like everything you were doing on stage was for me. And I know you made everyone at every concert you preformed at felt that way (specially because of you). Thank you for some amazing times and for all your hard work. I came into the Village Gate cast of Beehive when the show was at it's peak.
I was warned that being younger and new that I'd be "chewed up by those girls"
I'd hoped that wasn't true because I was already a fan. The advice couldn't have been more wrong. Patti became the older sister I never had. She even cut my hair. I learned so much from watching her each show and had a blast performing with her each night.
She was a blessing in my life and I will hold her dear in my heart always.

We'd sung together, we'd hung together. And there she was, up on the stage in a black wig as Anita,playing off Jeannie Schurko's Maria..."a boy like that, who'd kill your brother!..." she sang on. My mother, who had been a performer and had worked with the big ones, leaned over to me and pointing to Patty said, "Now THAT'S show biz!" When I told Patty what she'd said she clapped her hands and laughed her infectious laugh. I knew the stage was her home. She showed me where she "lived" on her tear-down stages with the Cher tours, and took me into the bowels of the Virginia Theater where Smokey Joe's was housed. I never got to see her and Courtney's digs at Hopatcong, but I know where she LIVED. If there was solid ground beneath her feet, and air to lift her voice, she was home. We are blessed to have her voice with us, forever. Close

I can't believe it's been 37 years since we graduated from Mountain High. It seem like only yesterday. You were such a genuine, kind, and giving person then, and I'm only sorry we didn't continue our friendship past our high school days. It's hard when everyone does their own thing and goes their separate ways. I was shocked to learn of your passing. I was at your memorial. I spoke with your sister and brother. I even brought our yearbook, and we had a few good laughs looking over the old teachers. You would have enjoyed it. I took one of your memorial cards that I carry with me in my wallet always. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you or listen to your music. I know you're singing with the angels now my dear friend. Please rest in peace.... Close

Patti/Patty was an essential,unforgettable member of our small wedding party on the island of Mustique in December of 1989. Originally invited by my best man Richard Douglass as his guest Patti, once on the island, pretty much became the whole show. She served as my wife Camilla's Maiden of Honor, sang at the ceremony (an a capella "Nature Boy"), did Camilla's hair for the event, brought her Polaroid along and took what is to this day our favorite wedding photo. She could do it all. After-dinner entertainment at the house or dancing 'til dawn at Basil's Bar? Patti was the star of that show, too and with more energy and joy of living than any two of us put together. The ten days we all spent together provided many special moments...I wish I could share the 8mm movies with you..that we will cherish forever. We honor her great success, her incredible legacy and share a broken heart with everyone who mourns the sudden passing of her brillliant smile and inextinguishable spirit from this World. The first time I was introduced to Pattie's work was through her performance in Smokey Joe's. I had the opportunity then to meet with her backstage and later at the closing night performance. Her performance in that show was in many ways the impetus for me to seriously pursue a career in the business. But it was her kindness, warmth and sincerety that left the truly lasting impression. I was shocked to recently hear of her passing and found myself deeply saddened by the news, both personally and artistically. Anyone who saw that show, or knew of her other great body of work, can understand what a loss the worlds of music and theater have sustained in her untimely death. My deepest condolences to her family and freinds. She always will remain in my thoughts and prayers, she was truly unforgettable. Close
My short relation w/patty,, i can honestly say, i never worked w/ such a "shear delite diva". there was not a day that passed where i ever saw a change in mood or persona. Patti was a true lady, and had a great sense of humor& facial expressions? Memorable . I will miss her<shrine> she had set -up everyday, faithful and true. I was happy to know her for a short time. Nonetheless, in that short-time she opened her big heart and i truly found it a blessing to have her presence around. My condolences to courtney and family. Patti is in the greatest place and she will still always live on spiritually and forever. I will remember you "Miss Patti" Always, "Miss Irene.
Pattie is and always will be the voice inside of all of us that says " Go ahead, and do what makes you happy. You have to live in the moment, right now, before it's gone."
